Due to significant resources being used to support our publicly supported organizations, Good Will-Hinckley and Unity College, Unity Foundation will not be accepting or reviewing any new grant applications or letters of inquiry until further notice.

This does not apply to the Foundation's Opportunity Grant program. Applications for up to $250 will continue to be accepted on a rolling basis. Please follow this link to the Opportunity Grant application form. Completed forms and supporting material may be submitted electronically or via USPS.

 

OVERVIEW

The Unity Foundation is a public charity (501c3/509a3) founded in 2000 that awards grants to two designated (publicly supported) nonprofits (Unity College and Good Will-Hinckley) and other nonprofits engaged in collaborative work with them (see Funding).

Helping Maine Students Become Philanthropists

Unity Foundation, in collaboration with Jobs For Maine's Graduates, the Maine Community Foundation and UniTel Inc., is beginning the third year of Jumpstart Our Youth, a program  advancing youth philanthropy in Maine with the intent to build and strengthen communities. In its second year, 3,500 students in more than 60 locations participated, providing $61,000 to support 70+ nonprofit organizations throughout Maine. Read more...
